Lands 560m east of 87 Carnalbanagh Road to 770m north west of 43 Carnalbanagh Road, including access out onto Kilnacolpagh and Lough Road in the townlands of Carnalbanagh, Kilnacolpagh and Buckna, 9.5 Kilometres east of Broughshane.

 

2023/M0003 Lough Neagh Section 54, Application for the extraction, transportation and working of sand and gravel from Lough Neagh. 

North-west of Lough Neagh situated approximately east of Traad Point, north of Stanierds Point, west of Doss Point and south of Ballyronan.  

 

2023/M0004 Blaris, Proposed mixed use development to include new housing (1300 dwellings) and commercial floor space (754,000 sq.ft.), 1.6km M1-Knockmore link road, riverside parkland and ancillary works.

Lands at Blaris, Lisburn (lands between existing M1 Junction 8 / A101 roundabout and Moira Road/ Knockmore Road junction).

 

2023/M0006 Unshinagh Wind Farm, Proposed windfarm comprising 14 (three-bladed) horizontal axis wind turbines, each up to a maximum height of 180metres to tip height. Associated external electricity transformers, underground cabling, newly created site entrance, access tracks, turning heads, crane hardstandings, control building and substation compound, battery energy storage containers, tree felling, off site areas of widening to the public road and all ancillary works. During construction and commissioning there will be a number of temporary works including a construction compound with car parking, temporary parts of crane hardstandings and welfare facilities.

Lands approximately 5 kilometres south west of Carnlough and 5 kilometres west of Gelnarm, co. Antrim, in the townlands of Drumourne, Unshinagh Mountain, Unshinagh South, Ticloy, Slane, Cregcatten (part of Galdanagh) and Aughareamlag.

The above cases, which had been referred to the Commission for a Public Local Inquiry or Hearing, have returned to the Department for Infrastructure in 2025 to facilitate the further processing of the applications.

Since that time, the Commission has awaited confirmation from the Department as to whether the originally requested Public Local Inquiry or Hearing remained necessary. As of 9th July 2026, the Department has formally withdrawn its requests for a Public Local Inquiry or Hearing in relation to these cases.

Accordingly, the Commission has closed its files on the above cases, and no further action will be taken.
