The following Topics will now also be heard during the week of 15th March 2010 in Newry:
Topic 108 B on Monday 15th
Topic 109 A-E on Tuesday 16th
Topic 110 A-C on Thursday 18th & Friday 19th March 2010.
Due to the unforeseen unavailability of the Commissioner leading the Newry side of the Examination, the Commission has been forced to re-arrange the following topics scheduled for the week commencing 8th February, Topics: 60; 76; 78; 79; 85; 86; 87 & 88.
These topics will now be heard on the week of 15th March 2010.
Monday 15th – Topics: 76; 79 + 78;
Tuesday 16th – Topic: 60;
Thursday 18th – Topics: 85 + 87; &
Friday 19th – Topics: 86 + 88.
Increase in the number of planning appeals
The Commission processes most appeals in the chronological order in which they were submitted and aims to deal with appeals as efficiently as possible. However, due to substantial increases in the number of appeals submitted over the 3 years, 2005/06 to 2007/08, many of which are yet to be decided, the Commission is not meeting its target times to process and determine appeals. As a result of these outstanding appeals you may experience delays in being notified of the arrangements for your appeal.
The Commission is currently considering cases which were received during the periods identified below:
- Written Representations received up to and including the period May 2009.
- Written Representations with Site Visits received up to and including July 2009.
- Informal Hearings received up to and including October to December 2008.
- Formal Hearings received up to and including February 2008.
