Due to the unforeseen unavailability of the Commissioner leading the Newry side of the Examination, the Commission has been forced to re-arrange the following topics scheduled for the week commencing 8^th February, Topics: 60; 76; 78; 79; 85; 86; 87 & 88.  

These topics will now be heard on the week of 15^th March 2010.

Monday 15^th – Topics: 76; 79 + 78;

Tuesday 16^th – Topic: 60;

Thursday 18^th – Topics: 85 + 87; &

Friday 19^th – Topics: 86 + 88.

Increase in the number of planning appeals

The Commission aims to deal with appeals as quickly as possible. However, due to the substantial increase in the number of appeals being received the Commission is not meeting its target times to process and determine appeals. As a result of these high intakes of appeals you will experience delays in being notified of the arrangements for your appeal.

The Commission is currently considering cases which were received during the periods identified below:

• Written Representations received up to and including the period April 2009.
• Written Representations with Site Visits received up to and including June 2008.
• Informal Hearings received up to and including February 2008.
• Formal Hearings received up to and including February 2008.
