Major planning application – proposed retail, restaurant and associated infrastructural development at Sprucefield, Lisburn for Sprucefield Centre Limited (S/2009/1045/F).
The inquiry opened on 7th June 2010 but was adjourned. Following a judicial review application to the High Court, the Department of the Environment, on 26th January 2011, issued a notice to the applicants' agents seeking further environmental information pursuant to the Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations.
The Commission proposes to take no further action in relation to the inquiry until the Department confirms that it has all the environmental information that it considers necessary to meet the requirements of the Regulations. Resumption of the inquiry will depend on the availability of Commissioner and staff resources.
