Appointment of new Panel CommissionersFourteen Panel Commissioners have been appointed. The new Panel Commissioners will be concentrating on clearing those cases to be determined by the Written Representation process.

Increase in the number of planning appealsThe Commission aims to deal with appeals as quickly as possible. However, due to the substantial increase in the number of appeals submitted, the Commission is not meeting its target times to process and determine appeals. You will therefore experience delays in being notified of the arrangements for your appeal.
The Commission is currently considering cases which were received during the following periods:
Written Representations received during the period February 2007 to March 2007.
Written Representations with Site Visits received during the period December 2006 to January 2007.
Informal Hearings received during the period December 2006 to January 2007.
Formal Hearings received during the period October to December 2006.
